Engineered Rigging has expanded its lineup of Foxtrot robotic dollies, adding four new models to support industrial lifting and machinery-moving applications in confined indoor environments.
Announced June 11, the fleet expansion increases the company’s offering to five Foxtrot models with load capacities ranging from 10 to 60 tons. All models are available for rental or purchase.
According to Engineered Rigging, growing industrial construction activity in the United States — including the expansion of data centers, warehouses, manufacturing operations and renewable energy facilities — has increased demand for equipment designed to move heavy loads inside industrial plants.
Foxtrot’s robotic dollies are designed for indoor use when forklifts are not practical. The battery-powered, remote-controlled skates are intended for use in tight corridors, narrow aisles and confined workspaces.
Engineered Rigging first introduced the Foxtrot SOLO 20 powered skate to its fleet in December and has since expanded the offering.
“Meeting the needs of our clients is always priority number one,” stated Mike Beres, vice president of Engineered Rigging. “By combining the high-tech features of Foxtrot’s robotic dollies with Engineered Rigging’s machinery moving expertise, we are able to help clients meet the rigorous demands of a modern industrial plant.”
The expanded lineup includes the SOLO 10, a compact model capable of moving loads up to 10 tons, and the SOLO 20, which supports loads up to 20 tons and operates at speeds up to 26 feet per minute.
The BRIDGE 40 attachment expands the SOLO 20’s lifting capacity to 40 tons by increasing load-bearing surface area. For larger indoor machinery moves, the SOLO 60 is designed to move loads up to 60 tons and includes features such as an integrated brake and low-profile design for demanding industrial applications.
The TANGO model is designed for production lines and repetitive manufacturing tasks that require both lifting and lateral movement. According to the release, the unit can lift loads up to 10 tons and support side-to-side movement for loads up to 20 tons.
Engineered Rigging said its heavy lift and specialized transport teams assist customers in selecting equipment based on project requirements and site conditions. For more complex applications, the company said Foxtrot dollies can also be customized by its engineering and fabrication team.
