Engineered Rigging has added the Foxtrot SOLO 20 motorized dolly to its bare rental fleet, offering new solutions for moving heavy machinery in confined spaces. Designed for use in narrow corridors, crowded pathways and tight turns, the motorized dolly provides an alternative when cranes or forklifts are not feasible.
“We are excited to add Foxtrot’s innovative motorized dolly to our array of machinery moving solutions. This tool is small in stature but packed with features to relocate or install equipment safely and efficiently,” said Mike Beres, vice president of Engineered Rigging.
The Foxtrot SOLO 20 has a load capacity of up to 20 tons and moves equipment at speeds up to 26 feet per minute. Weighing 220 pounds, it is lighter than comparable equipment, and integrated lifting lugs simplify setup and handling. Operators can lift loads with two toe jacks, position the dolly and SK20 follower skates and begin operation.
Its on-board lithium battery supports up to six hours of operation, charges in three hours and can be swapped under load to minimize downtime. The dolly’s six-inch non-marking wheels navigate floor gaps of up to one inch and thresholds of up to 3/8 inch. Limited rolling resistance ensures smooth movement across manufacturing floors, power generation plants and industrial sites.
Safety features include a certified emergency stop, signaling horn, cord-free battery operation and a wireless remote controller, providing operators with enhanced visibility and maneuverability while reducing tripping hazards.
Engineered Rigging’s rental kit includes the SOLO 20 dolly, two SK20 follower skates with alignment bar, a remote controller, large saddle plate, two lithium batteries, magnetic safety blocks and a 110-volt charger. The company ensures each rental unit is meticulously maintained, cleaned, inspected and rigorously tested before shipment.
“Upon delivery, clients will find everything they need to begin work immediately. A lot of thought went into the packaging to make it rental friendly,” Beres added.
