Sunstate Adds Calhoun Location Through JTB Rentals Acquisition

Sunstate Equipment Co., LLC has expanded its service footprint in Louisiana with the acquisition of JTB Rentals, an equipment rental company based in Calhoun. The move strengthens Sunstate’s coverage in north-central Louisiana and enhances service continuity across the Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas (Ark-La-Tex) region.

The Calhoun branch, located near the I-20 corridor east of Shreveport, becomes Sunstate’s third Louisiana location. Customers will gain access to a broader range of rental equipment for construction, trenching and industrial applications, along with Sunstate’s existing multi-state support network.

Sunstate entered the Louisiana market in 2024 with locations in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles. Combined with more than 25 branches in Texas, the addition of Calhoun allows the company to provide continuous equipment rental coverage from the Gulf Coast north through the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

JTB Rentals employees will remain in place, continuing operations at the Calhoun location with added access to Sunstate’s fleet scale and logistical resources.
