TranSource Truck & Equipment has joined Merlo America’s U.S. dealer network, expanding access to Italian-engineered telehandlers and forestry equipment in the Upper Midwest.
The Sioux Falls, South Dakota, location will serve as the hub for the partnership, with Merlo products also available at TranSource locations in Fargo and Williston, North Dakota, and Aberdeen and Rapid City, South Dakota. Expansion plans include dealerships in Montana, Wyoming, Minnesota and Iowa.
“At TranSource, we pride ourselves on aligning with and representing only premium, high-quality products that deliver value to our customers. We are excited to now offer and represent the Merlo brand across North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana, and will back these products up with our excellent product support,” said Dan Bland, president of TranSource Truck & Equipment.
The addition of Merlo equipment expands TranSource’s construction and agricultural portfolio. “We’re proud to offer Merlo equipment, a brand we recognize as a true innovator in the industry. The Merlo offering expands our reach to agricultural customers and adds a new facet to our construction portfolio. Merlo’s telehandlers provide multifunctionality and advanced features that meet the growing demands of larger, more specialized farms and ranches in our region,” said Dan Thome, Merlo product specialist at TranSource.
Merlo telehandlers include standard enclosed cabs, high-visibility designs and safety features such as Adaptive Stability Control and capacitive joystick controls. The company also offers TreEmme forestry machines, the DBM concrete mixer and other specialty equipment connected through the MerloMobility telematics platform for fleet monitoring.
“The Upper Midwest has unique demands across construction, agriculture and forestry, and TranSource is deeply rooted in serving those markets. Their decades of expertise, commitment to customer service and local presence make them an ideal partner to represent Merlo. Together, we can deliver the performance, innovation and support our customers need to tackle even the most demanding jobs,” said Cole Renken, general manager of Merlo America.
As an authorized Merlo America dealer, TranSource provides full-service sales, rentals, parts and service support for the complete Merlo lineup. “Partnering with Merlo America will help us secure a prominent position in the marketplace with a new line we can build upon with integrity and professionalism. Our goal is to increase market share, attract new customers and be a one-stop shop for all customer needs — parts, service and equipment. We’re excited to be stocking Merlo’s innovations and look forward to growing this market together,” added Todd Wilkinson, equipment sales manager at TranSource.
